Alessia Garibaldi
Founder and Principal Partner
“We are dwarfs standing on the shoulders of giants.”
A Milanese architect with a strong artistic projection, Alessia Garibaldi graduated from the Politecnico di Milano in 2000 and began collaborating with engineering and architectural firms, where she developed design sensitivity but also technical and organisational skills. She participates in projects at international level, such as the Alfa Business Park in the Fiat Alfa Romeo area in Arese, where she refines her ability to interpret large industrial and commercial spaces.
Her vision is summarised in the metaphor attributed to Bernard of Chartres “we are dwarfs standing on the shoulders of giants”, underlining the importance history holds in modern culture. And it is precisely these foundations on which her stylistic signature has been built. Taking the aesthetic lesson of international rationalism as her own, she draws from formal symmetries, volumetric orders and spatial concepts enhanced by the study of natural materials, handmade finishes, reminiscent of Italian magnificence, reinterpreted in a contemporary way. Her way of practising the profession of architecture becomes a story that reinterprets the past in new and original ways.
